Senior Tax Consultant - Chisinau

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Consultant to join our Tax Department in Chisinau. As a member of our team, you will provide comprehensive tax advisory services to our clients in a range of different industries on various tax matters.

Your key responsibilities:

• Work with our team to understand the client’s needs, provide tax practical solutions and support with the implementation of these recommendations
• Offer expert advice on various tax matters, including compliance, planning and consulting
• Follow up on legislative and business changes in order to ensure the clients` compliance and assist them in adapting to new regulations
• Assist with tax audits and act as point of contact – liaise with our Assurance department colleagues
• Prepare memos, working papers and other documents in conjunction with serving the client (proposals, engagement letters, presentations, final reports)
• Perform tax checking within various types of assignments
• Actively support Managers and Partners in marketing & business development efforts (eminence building initiatives, client meetings and negotiations, drafting proposals, tax seminar, etc.)

Skills and attributes for success:

• Very good technical and practical understanding of Moldovan tax legislation provisions and related compliance
• Very good analytical skills and attention to detail

• Well-organized and able to plan and prioritize work

• Eager to come with new ideas and having an innovative mindset

• Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team

 To qualify for the role you must have:

• Bachelor's / Master`s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
• Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience of relevant activities carried out in a similar field of work (e.g. working as a tax consultant or as a accounting professional in the industry)
• Hands on experience in direct and indirect taxes consultancy and compliance

• Good knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Office)
• Fluent in English – experience with English as work language & any second language is a plus
